Finally our first RTS project that was developing over a year is finished. Although developing this game was a pain story with very hard work, many problems to solve, many GUI + tutorial tweak but when I know about its feedback, I feel wow! all the hard work is worth.

The next best game after Noidzor ( at least it is our hope XD ). Although this game is still in progress but you can test the first stage here.

Night of a Million Billion Zombies or NOMBZ! takes you right back into your favorite undead movie infested with zombies and a soundtrack that will ring the bell for Tim Burton fans.

You take on a role as MOT armed with steel pipe and a small pistol, fighting and surviving your way to the next level. As you turn every corner a few zombies will try and get a chomp on your sweet and scrumptious meat. Soon you will realize that the word million may not be quite an overstatement.

Controls are easy to learn and will certainly be second nature to veteran shooter gamers out there. Each character has a choice of armaments, firearms or a melee weapon. Your weapon has unlimited ammo but the magazines needs to be reloaded so time your attack wisely. Using both combinations of armament effectively is vital to your survival.

Survival and Allies

As you progress, you will rescue allies along the way, each with their own unique set of weapons. What is good about this is they help fight along side you, doing a good enough job so long as you keep them away from tight situations. You can even switch between characters with a mouse wheel. Be careful not to get the main character killed, you will fail the level even if you have the others surviving. In the graphics department, animations need a little more work, for example, the main characters only move their lower torso while their upper body remains rigid, which looks unnatural. The levels could add a little more diversity than just being outside a zombie infested street. Currently, the map level is flat plus it looks the same just with more turns and corners. I would welcome a chance to fight and survive inside buildings or escape a pack of zombies into the mountains.Some storyline and character development would be a nice addition to the game. The mini map also needs better polish on the next-objectives arrow, which can be a bit misleading at times. The camera also needs a bit more work : a little bit of zoom control and smoother turns.

The game’s forte is giving a sense of survival. Don’t expect to stand and kill all zombies on the map. Characters can take only a few bites and the longer you remain in one spot, more zombies will overwhelm your small band of survivors. Adding to the pressure is the time limit. As you will no doubt fail at times, you will soon learn that killing a few zombies barring your way while evading some will dramatically increase your chance of success.

In conclusion, the game is fun to play, has potential and is challenging enough. A few more diverse objectives, storyline would add nicely to the game and make it step out from the crowd. Map and level design could use a little more engineering. But don’t take my word for it, try the game out and see for yourself! There may even be more than a few undeadly surprises and impressions in the full version…Final Score

Gameplay : 7/10 Good and involving game play. Multiple character is an interesting concept. However, more dimensional in depth level design and polished objectives would boost this score a notch or two. Camera also needs some smoothing.

Graphics : 7/10 Generally OK but needs a better shading and different themed maps.

Sound : 6/10 Fair but could be better

Overall : 7/10 Great for shooting and zombie fans out there. The difficulty is high enough to keep your mouse finger sweating. Although it is safe to say that there are some few points this game can do with to make it step out from the crowd.
